Kitakyushu Sunflower Released Commemorative Jersey for Kitakyushu’s 50th Anniversary

The Japan Kitakyushu Sunflower Club Memorial launched a special commemorative jersey for the 50th anniversary of the building Kitakyushu City. The Sunflower team members will wear this new brand jersey in July and race against Tokushima whirlpool, Kyoto Purple Sanga and Matsumoto Yamaga these three teams in the game.

The five cities, Moji, Ogura, Tobata, Yahata and Wakamatsu merged on February 10th, 1963. The city got the name Kitakyushu for its location of the most north of the Kitakyushu. And Kitakyushu is regarded as one of the largest cities in the Kyushu.

Therefore, the new jersey of the Kitakyushu Sunflower adopts Kitakyushu flag color purple as its main color. The front of the jersey is composed of five Kitakyushu city's iconic building outline. However, the goalkeeper jersey color is yellow, which totally different from the purple ones.
