PHP BackEnd Developer

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design & development of back-end systems and infrastructure to be used as an API
• Effective delivery of project objectives
• Effective communications, reporting and collaboration with the Client’s leadership group

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Majoring in Web Development, Mobile Applications Development, Software Development, Software Engineering or equivalent
• Must have at least 3 years of solid understanding of the software development process, including release management
• Proven skills and experience in the effective design, development, testing and maintenance back end systems and infrastructure
• Demonstrated experience in successful delivery of complex web and mobile applications projects within a budget and timeframe
• API development experience and a fundamental understanding of these systems
• Exceptional knowledge of best practice and relevant programming languages, frameworks and development environments, as well as their effective use, and application

1. Languages: Python, PHP
2. Database technologies: MySQL, noSql is a plus.
3. Technologies: Essential: Python, Flask, SQLAlchemy. Desirable: Redis, Celery, Node.js with Socket.io, cakePHP, Push Notifications.
4. Source code management: Git.
5. Linux based server management and API integration
6. Restful APIs
7. Knowledge of AWS is a plus

• Good knowledge of computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, complexity analysis, data structures, problem solving and object-oriented design
• Must have analytical and problem solving skills with demonstrated experience solving scalability issues and/or distributed computing
• Experience with automation testing techniques and experience crafting unit, integration, functional and regression tests and developing for continuous integration and automated build environments
• Test-driven development experience
• Experience applying security best practices to the design and implementation of software development
• Experience with mobile application integration and mobile APIs
• Experience with multi-tenanted databases/development
• Knowledge of a quality/productivity based development methodology such as the Agile Methodology is desirable
• Applied knowledge in the cost control, estimating and budgeting of dispersed development projects is a plus
• Ability to meet deadlines and to work under pressure
• Attention to detail with a meticulous work ethic and a commitment to quality and accuracy

• Must be willing to work in Makati/BGC in an early morning shift (7:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
