C++ DEVELOPER

Position Overview:

This position will be responsible for feature design and writing code. Development activities include work in Microsoft Visual Studio using C++. This role requires heavy hands-on software development and interaction with the client's existing engineers. 

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology and/or relevant experience
• 2+ years of programming experience in C++
• Strong math skills
• Relational database skills in MS SQL Server
• Experience with MFC
• The selected candidate must be able to work well individually and with a team
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential

Responsibilities:

• Develops, tests, and fixes defects in application software from overall application designs prepared by senior staff.
• Designs application software at the module level under the general direction of senior staff.
• Creates work estimates (effort and duration) of work assignments for inclusion into project plans.
• Resolves routine technical problems with systems.
• Maintains working knowledge on the systems and tools within the scope of the team's responsibility. Maintains working-level knowledge of software development best practices, tools, and methodologies.
• Actively participates in quality and continuous improvement initiatives within the scope of the team's responsibility.
• Maintains basic knowledge of the technologies and practices of the company's chosen markets.
