Bookkeeper

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintaining the books of the company
• Analyse and review general ledger posting of financial information
• Create and post journal entries and adjusting entries
• Monitor and prepare Cash Flow Statement
• Maintain a systematic record of financial files
• Monitoring of Account Receivables and Account Payables
• Prepare entries and ensure the accurate recording of revenues, expenses, adjustments, etc.
• Calculate, prepare and issue bills, invoices, account statements and other financial statements according to established procedures
• Classify, record and summarize numerical and financial data in order to compile and keep financial records, using journals and ledgers
• Reconcile and report discrepancies found in records
• Prepare and summarize monthly reports
• Any other task/duty as directed by client/management

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College degree in Accountancy/ Finance/Banking/ Administration Management or equivalent
• Preferably with at least 2 to 3 years of bookkeeping experience in the BPO industry
• Has a working knowledge of accounting systems and software (Ideally: MYOB, Quickbooks, Xero/Navision, or SAP)
• Strong grasp in bookkeeping functions and generally accepted accounting principles
• Proficient in using MS Office with an advance understanding of MS Excel including Functions/Formulas, Pivot Tables and V Lookups
• Must be trustworthy and maintain confidentiality at all times
• Outstanding ability to multi-task and to successfully work under pressure or tight deadlines
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, analytical, assertive and motivated
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent interpersonal skills
• Must be willing to work in an early morning shift including weekends and/or holidays in Makati City
