All of this is still based on poreeniing science that no one short of genius understands. You can just pull statements from great scientists work and form philosophies about it and if-then statements until the sun goes down but it still isnt convincing because you don KNOW any of the things your leaning your argument on. How do you know universe doesnt collapse back into itself and start again? you dont. I dont. no one will ever know. And I dont think its a science of the gaps at all. I think that we are making more and more breakthroughs every day on every front of science, and things no one knows about, people think must be supernatural. I came to this site after reading Dr. Tureks book because I have been a christian for almost 22 years and I started to have questions. I think it gives credit to athiests that you can deny so many facts like transitional species fossils and fundamental anthropology and then fall back to this sort of material that basically waves pretty and complex science in the faces of those your arguing with. Even with all of that scientific shielding, no one once mentions a personal relationship with a personal god.Thats the main reason I started having these feelings to begin with. How can you say that God is supossed to be the top priority in our lives, above my wife and family, and his existence is legitimatly arguable? If you and I were best friends and I never returned your phone calls, never dropped by to say hello, never called back, and you had to argue my existence with your other friends- does that mean were really friends at all? Can science answer questions like this? No. common sense does. I dont mean to run away from your paper on scientific arguments for god, but I just wanted to ask, and I dont really know how to ask- why do you need these arguments to begin with. Is it for you or others. Who are you trying to convince?
